Who It's For, What It Is, and How It Works
If you cannot move your tongue, have full or partial tongue paralysis, no tongue, partial tongue, or a tongue transplant then Tougles can assist with your nourishment and quality of life. Tougles assist with eating by moving food from your tongue and from within all the cavities of your mouth and redirecting that food toward your jaws, teeth, and throat so that the food can be chewed and swallowed.
During eating, Tougles is placed within the mouth, hand-held by the user, and directed by the movements of the user’s hand. It remains constantly in motion within the mouth cavity while the user eats. Tougles has two ends, each end having a unique feature to assist with the collection and redirection of food. While in use, Tougles can be rotated repeatedly from one end to the opposite end, utilizing either feature, which is determined by the user’s preference and need.

I know the struggle, I too have a speaking and eating disability. I created Tougles to help me get off a feeding tube and eat solid foods again. Now I can eat anything I want (except those darn fibrous kale greens) and my speech is much improved. I've found that eating solid food and actively speaking strengthens the tongue muscle, which in turn makes eating and speaking easier and this is true even if you only have a portion of your original tongue. I want to share my invention with you so that you too will be nourished and enjoy eating once again. It's possible, I did it!
